This U.S. Navy F-14
Tomcat pilot is a member of the "Fighting 14" "Tophatters"
and is a highly trained individual who operates this sophisticated
machine in both, defensive and offensive strike roles. She comes
with a
fully detailed T-shirt, flight suit, flight jacket, gloves, and modern flight helmet with oxygen
mask.
The
F-14 Tomcat entered service in 1973 as a replacement for the F-4 Phantom. It is
an all-weather strike fighter capable of speed over Mach 2 with an operational
ceiling of over 50,000ft. The most characteristic feature of the Tomcat is the
"sweep wing" feature, allowing for more lift at lower speed.
Navy Tomcats have a 2-person crew comprised of a pilot and a Tactical Radar
Officer. The aircraft is capable of delivering an ordinance load of up to 13,000
pounds including Sparrow, Sidewinder and Phoenix missiles.
The
authenticity and true detail of the modern day F-14 U.S. Navy Fighter
pilot has been captured for the Elite Force Aviator series. These authentic
action figures are portrayed from head to toe in 1/6th scale versions of a real
life fighter pilot's uniform and his equipment. Some of the features, such as a
fully detailed modern flight helmet with oxygen mask are breathtaking in their recreation of the real life model.
