L-1049H Super Constellation - Flying Tiger Line w. Collectors Tin

This detailed model represents an L-1049H flown by the Flying Tiger Line.
The Flying Tiger Line was originally formed as The National Skyway Freight Corporation in 1945 by ten former American Volunteer Group pilots (commonly known as "The Flying Tigers").
The name was formally changed to "The Flying Tiger Line" in 1946. They concentrated on freight operations, military charters and in 1949 started scheduled U.S. transcontinental service. In 1969 they added routes across the Pacific. Further scheduled routes were added when they took over Seaboard World Airlines in 1980.
